Siddhivinayak Temple, Mumbai

This famous temple is located in Mumbai, the capital of Maharashtra. It is one of the city's magnificent temples. The temple was built in 1801 by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil. Inside the temple, an idol of Lord Ganesha in the form of Siddhivinayak is enshrined within a small *mandap* (pavilion).

The wooden doors of the sanctum sanctorum depict the Ashtavinayaka, while the inner ceiling is gold-plated. Notably, the Siddhivinayak Temple is grandly decorated on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. On this special occasion, devotees from every corner of the country arrive to seek the blessings of Lord Ganesha.
